As an oncology nurse of over 25 years and a breast cancer survivor, she understands the emotional gravity and financial hardship a serious illness or injury can place on a family. Lea Ann has a deep passion for charitable work, having worked with multiple non-profits, and believes in LLOM’s mission and supports our vision to become a sustainable organization so that we can continue to provide compassionate and meaningful services for the families we serve.
Professionally, she has a unique combination of experience of nurse and accomplished leader within the health care business sector. She has devoted her career to assisting cancer patients in multiple settings and understands the growing complexity and interdependence associated with cancer care, having served on multiple professional boards. She is the founder of Beacon Oncology Nurse Advocates, a nurse advocacy consulting company, and works for a large insurer as an oncology clinical consultant developing and implementing business strategies to improve the quality of cancer care.
On a personal note, Lea Ann is passionate about caring for her two young children, cooking and fine wines, and exploring the world with her husband, Frank.
